Dear Friends,
As Christmas nears, Isaiah's words, "Comfort, comfort my people" (Isaiah 40:1), resonate. These words, once aimed at those seeking solace after Jerusalem's fall and exile in Babylonia, hold contemporary relevance. In today's uncertain, divided world—with conflicts like Ukraine, Myanmar, Sudan, and the Middle East, cultural polarization, and climate concerns—there's a clear need for comforting words of hope and healing.
Amid La Salette's enchanting Christmas Festival of Lights, we gather to celebrate Jesus Christ, our wellspring of hope. Emmanuel, Jesus Christ, walks with us, inspiring and guiding us.
In this Advent and Christmas Season, may Isaiah's message and La Salette's Christmas Lights ignite hope and comfort. May Christ's presence bring you peace, serenity, and joy, inspiring you to share comfort with those who struggle and hope with those who are disheartened.
Warm wishes for a blessed Advent and Christmas Season.
The Missionaries of Our Lady of La Salette.
