The National Shrine of Our Lady of La Salette welcomes today’s unanimous Supreme Judicial Court decision. We appreciate the Court’s recognition that La Salette is a place of worship, prayer, pilgrimage, and discernment whose dominant mission and purpose is to celebrate and honor Our Lady of La Salette.
The National Shrine of our Lady of La Salette has been a spiritual, social and human service home to thousands of people from all walks of life for over 60 years. The words “Come Nearer my Children”are not only the words Mary spoke at La Salette in 1846, but words we live here at La Salette.
Our doors and ground are open to all who need a place to quiet down, relax and find the strength to begin again. Our weekly soup kitchen feeds about one hundred people week. Our various prayer groups give people direction and depth.
No matter who you are, we invite you to respond to Mary's words: Come Nearer. You will find a welcome here.
